Brian Dempsey was an outstanding club man, inspirational
captain, tough competitor, selfless friend and much loved father and
grandfather passed away on 28 th May, after facing cancer with typical
courage, good humour and selflessness.
Around Brian there was simply always laughter. Even by rugby
standards he was a warm and charismatic character whose presence
would fill any room and lift the spirits of everyone there. It was just
impossible to have a conversation with him and not come away feeling
that the world was a better place. Brian was a mighty, lovable personality
and natural leader who never stopped looking out for his teammates
and, beyond that, the wider community.
Our thoughts are with Jane (RiP), Ruth, Helen, Jenni and Catherine. We
send them, all wonderful members of the OD family, love and support at
this difficult time.

The funeral will be held at Beckenham Crematorium on Friday 21st June'24 at 12.00 Noon.
Refreshments will be available following the service at The New Inn, 59 Station Approach, Hayes, BR2 7EA, opposite Hayes Station.
